They have had those for a while now. Being a policeman for the last decade or two is akin to being a mini bureaucrat.
That post is from 2016; don’t recall seeing them much before then.
During the early 10s I was trying to become a policeman and did multiple ride alongside in various cities. All the cruises I was in had laptops.
